lol I gotta check it out. Ok for more movies there is the fan made MGS movie that's coming out (there's a prelude to the movie they released that's about 20 mins long and there's like a 9 min trailer for the movie that looks good) Metal Gear Solid Philanthrophy it looks really good.
then there's (and I can't believe I'm actually saying this) the Kamen Rider Den-O and Kiva movies. They're pretty good. Haven't watched the one where Den-O and Kiva team up yet but I heard good things. I'm telling you right now, If I was Kiva I would be busting some major ass and the fact that Kiva becomes king of the monsters basically makes him god.

The GTO series is first and foremost a comedy that's not really ment to be taken seriously. It's still a very good show and the actor who plays the live action Onizuka managed to keep the feeling of the anime and manga Onizuka. You should at least watch 1 ep of the live action series before you judge it. If you dont like it after watching it then ok but at least give it a chance. Oh and the opening song is awesome. The movie on the other hand.....skip it. It sucks ass like nothing before it. (Cept for the death note movie) I enjoyed the Death Note L movie. While the special effects sucked I enjoyed the hidden theme of how you should live live to the fullest. (in the movie L writes his name in the death note then destroys them. He has around 20 days to live. At the last day he finally realizes that he doesn't want to die but it's too late.)
