sukiyaki western django is a Japanese western film from 2007 which has a plot that focuses on a small town and a wandering Gunslinger. A war brakes out between two clans after a hidden stash of gold and the wanderer is caught in the middle, thus the blood bath begins.

This is like Kill Bill only in a western setting with asian people instead of american cowboys.Quentin Tarantino in fact is in this movie and I think he helped write the script. This is a grindhouse type of film (read: Major bloodbath and sexy scenes)

The soundtrack fit in my opinion, the acting was really good and the action scenes was fucking awesome. Oh and I fucking loved the wanderer's outfit.

Check it out if you loved Kill Bill.

Empire Records:
If you loved rock and punk music from the early 90's then check this awesome film out.
A movie that focuses on the teenage employees of Empire Records, a music store which is going to be bought out and changed.

Filled with tons of crazy shit and awesome music like Hey Joe (Jimmy Hendrix AKA GOD)
this film has an actual plot and the ending is great unlike most movies made today.

Made in 1995, you can really see how the music culture has changed into a money loving piece of useless shit. Totally check this movie out if your a music fan of the old school rock.

Ok, I'm sorry, I know I said I would review Street Fighter Alpha and II V, but I gotta talk about this 30 minutes anime movie DVD I got a while back.

Voices of A Distant Star is a animated movie by the brilliant Makoto Shinkai who also did 5 Centimeters Per Second, which is another great film.

The plot revolves around 2 teen lovers who decide to join a military group. Only the girl is accepted and goes off to space as a pilot to a Mech. Despite the long distance, the two lovers stay connected through email and text messages. The farther away they are the longer the messages takes to arrive. Another thing is that due to being in space the girl ages much slower then those on Earth. Eventually it gets to the point where when the girl sends her boyfriend a birthday text, he gets it years after it was sent and he is no longer a teenager but an adult while the girl is still the same age as when she left.

Now I have to admit, I cried. It was a very emotional short movie that captures your emotions.

The Soundtrack was simply amazing and managed to keep the feelings of the film and the animation was top notch. The plot was awesome for what it was designed for. It doesn't really explain why there's a war against aliens in space and other things but it's not suppose to. It was ment to focus on the relationship of the two main characters and it fulfills that role perfectly in my opinion.

Go see this film and while you're at it, go see 5cm Per Second too, both films are fucking amazing. Makoto Shinkai is a great storyteller.

Did I mention the Mech designs are fucking awesome?

Before I talk about Serenity, I have to say a few things about the series that the movie is from:

FIREFLY.

Firefly was a spaghetti Western set in space that revolved around the crew of the firefly ship and their struggles. The plot begins when the crew picks up a young doctor and his strange sister who holds a dark past.

Serenity takes place after the series and acts as it's ending.

The movie starts off with the crew breaking out the doctor's sister from a lab or something and they end up going off to find out what happened to her.

The special effects was amazing and the acting was great. The movie uses the same cast as the show.

The soundtrack fits really well with the series as well as the movie and the opening theme song's (Ballad of Serenity) lyrics describes the series really well (the song talks about how you can take away a man's home and material possessions but you can never take away the sky from them meaning their dreams and freedom)

A very good movie that does the series justice and was a great way to end such an awesome show. If you like Sci-Fi movies or westerns then this is a movie you have to see. You don't need to see firefly to enjoy the movie (though I say you should watch that as well)

Watch it. Love it. Enjoy.

Next time: I talk about STREET FIGHTER ALPHA the animated movie and STREET FIGHTER II V(Victory) the anime series. 2 great SF animations with awesome fight scenes. Don't blink or you just might miss it.

GONNA BURN SOME MUSCLE! (from Street Fighter II V)

And now, a sneak peak at my CD's cover art (prototype design). It's the OST (that's Official Soundtrack for you non Weebos) to my RPG game Heart of Hero that I'm working on. Note that this isn't the official art but just a place holder and outline for what I want.

Now for something different.

Rather then review and/or rant about a live action japanese series, I'm gonna do as DJ-Delinquent asked: review a martial arts movie.

Versus: a tale about zombies, immortals, hot asian chicks and epic kickass martial arts fighting.

Now, I saw this movie a few years ago so I can't remember the plot other then zombies attack and some immortal dude wants some chick and a prison escapee is the only one that can stop him if for no other reason then to kick someone's ass cause he's seriously pissed off...or something.

epic shoot-outs happen and for some unexplained reason zombies pop out of nowhere to kill everyone in the middle of some woods between What the fuck and holy shit this is awesomeville.

The fighting: FUCKING AWESOME!!!! I was like HOLY SHIT DID HE JUST DO THAT?!
some of the best fights I've seen in a long time.
The shoot-outs: Matrix style Moddafuckers! bullets hitting each other and bouncing off trees while random other shit is going down.
Soundtrack:.....um....I can't remember the soundtrack cause I was too busy soaking in the awesomeness of the fights.
Acting: decent for a b horror/action film.
Overall: check it out if you love martial arts fights.

So there you have it. Thank you DJ-Delinquent for reminding me to review some movies.

GAME ALERT!!!!!

Check out Dungeon Fighter Online: it's a free online multiplayer dungeon 2d sidescrolling-ish fighting game with swordsmen, gunners, martial artists and mages (also a fucking badass priest dude with a big cloud Strife like sword) the gunners take a little use to with the aiming but have the best range. It's really fun.

Kamen Rider Kabuto.

The plot revolves around Kagame, a low ranking member of a secret organization called ZECT, and Tendou, a man who in almost every ep says something his grandmother told him that has to do with him taking over the world and heaven.

In 1999, a meteor destroyed one of Japan's cities. From the meteor came the WORMS, monsters that can disguise themselves as other humans and can CLOCK UP which makes them move so fast it's as if time has stopped.

7 years later, ZECT creates the Masked (Kamen) Rider system to fight back. Tendou is revealed to have a rider belt long before ZECT has finished the system and gains control of the Beetle Zector thus becoming Kamen RIder Beetle.

Kagame who is a low ranking member of ZECT helps Tendou fight the WORMS as well as reveal dark secrets within ZECT itself and eventually becomes Kamen Rider Datack which has similar powers as Kabuto. Other riders appear some good, some bad.

Throughout the series, more of the plot is discovered to revolve around the two Major characters, their parents as well as Hiyori, a co-worker at Kagame's part time job.

My thoughts:

This is one of the best live action series I have seen. The plot while starting of slow was very good, the music was catchy, the fighting was awesome (HYPER CLOCK UP for the win!) The characters was well written and develop as the series goes on.

This is a good series to start if you never seen a Kamen Rider series before, (Decade, Kiva, Den-O and W are also good)

Watch it.

Kamen Rider Kabuto the movie:

This takes place in a alternative version of Kabuto where the meteor basically destroyed the world and the WORMS almost wiped out humanity. ZECT and ANTI-ZECT are fighting each other, the riders are killing each other off and the world's oceans have evaporated. Tendou arrives in the middle of the riders fighting one another and quickly defeats them. Shortly after he reveals that he will work for the highest bidder.

This movie shows what could of happen and also answers how Tendou acquired his Rider Belt in the series.

Look it up.

Kamen Rider Double (W) just released the first ep in english dub, this series appears to return to the older rider roots when designing the rider suit (it has a scarf like in the old 70-90's) for the first time, 2 people combine to become Kamen RIder W and appear to control half of W's body. using flash drives (Called Gaiamemories) to gain different powers. The lead characters is a private Eye and the other called Phillip is some sort of genius.

Looks weird but entertaining. More about it as the series goes on.

Don't forget to read my other review/rants. Sometimes I update them.

And now, a pic of Kamen RIder Faiz (555) one of the coolest looking riders (but I thought the series sucked.)

MAXIMUM HYPER TYPHOON!

Garo is a fucking awesome Live action show.

Granted I've only seen 3 eps so far, I love it.

Plot:Monster called Horrors feed off of humans and it's up to our hero to kill them by becoming a magical knight wearing golden demonic looking armor. Human's who are touched by Horror blood must be killed because they act like catnip for other horrors and it's foreshadowed that something worse then death happens to them within 100 days if they aren't killed.

Fighting: AWESOME!!!!!!!!! They can actually fight and not in the Power rangers way but in the Jet Li way.

Music: Fit's the series but not to my personal liking.

Character's: I love them. The main character's outfit kicks major ass.

Special effects: really good

Overall: Check it out. (as usual, can be found at Tvnihon's forum.)

DJ-Delinquent, I believe you would love this series.

Cutie Honey The Live: It's awesome, nuff said.
...
...
...
...
...
What? You want more? Fine you unthankful asstards.

Cutie Honey focuses around a girl known as Honey Something (forgot her family name) who has the power to Honey flash which basically changes her form and increases her abilities. She get's involved with a group called Panther Claw when she saves her homeless P.I friend. Eventually She meets 2 other girls who can also Flash: Miki the hot rocker looking chick and Yuki who's a total Lesbian.

Yes I said Lesbian. There are Lesbians in this show has Lesbians. Hot Sexy Lesbians!

Let's talk about plot: It's kinda dark and sad once it starts to flow in the later half of the series and I felt that it was well written. Some plot holes (but every show has them) some slow moments but that's taken care of by making those moments funny and filled with fan service.

Music: I loved the soundtrack especially Miki's ending song I Lost The Place which kinda foreshadows her fate. (For Spolier PM me)

Fan Service: HOLY SHIT IS THERE FAN SERVICE! Every time the girls Flash their clothes come off, tons of sexual jokes, lesbian moments, etc....

Fighting: Epic! imagine Jet Li if her was a chick with big breasts and you won't get this show but I just gave you a disturbing image. The fighting is still fucking awesome.

Characters: I really liked them. Especially the guy with MPD (Multi Personality Disorder) Towards the end he thinks he's a chick and starts crossdressing. It's funny.

Overall, a real good show. Not for kids cause there's limbs being cut off, beheading, nudity, blood and the plot turns real dark later on. Check it out at Tvnihon.com (it's in the forums in the Direct Downloads section)

Now for anime:

Gun Frontier: made by the dude who did Captain Harlock.
Cosmowarrior Zero: also made by the dude who did Captain Harlock (which is a a legendary series)

Gun Frontier takes place in the Wild West and focuses on 3 characters: Toushiro who's a Japanese man (tho they don't say that in the series we know already from his name) He's a swordsman
Harlock (who in this series was a pirate captain of a sea vessel) and is a gunslinger
Some rich looking chick who keeps trying to seduce our hero's

First thing first: the guy who did this show is known for using the same character's for a lot of his shows. Captain Harlock who was a captain of a pirate ship in space. The thing was, most of his series took place in the same world so it wasn't strange to see cameo's of character's from his other shows. Gun Frontier, it's a different universe so the character's, although having the same name and similar personalities aren't the one's from his other works.

That said: it's a good show.

Very funny yet serious when it needs to be. A lot of people die. (it is the Wild West) and the plot is pretty good.

Plot: A strange town filled with strange people (Japanese) is destroyed and Toushiro searches for survivors. At the same time, a strange group are looking for them too as well as where they came from.

Music is pretty good to as well as the english dubbing.

Check it out.

Cosmowarrior Zero: Takes place in the same universe as Captain Harlock with cameos from that series.

Captain Zero and his crew chase after Pirate Captain Harlock who is Zero old friend. Along the way, shit happens.

Now before anything: the Gun Frontier they visit in this series is NOT the Gun Frontier from the Gun Frontier show. It's an Alternative Version of it.

Music: real good. They use a classical type of melody for the opening and closing and it really fits in my opinion (I would love it if DJ-Delinquent would make a beat from the opening or closing songs: Jidai and The Book Of Life. I have them if you want it DJ)

Plot is good so far (only seen 5 eps so far)

Characters: Love them. All of them have flaws making them more realistic (the creator of the series is known for making good characters.)

Dubbing: Kinda Sucks but most anime have bad dubbing.

Check it out.

Ok, I know I said I would never watch the live action Sailor Moon in a previous rant but I did.
Now Let me say this:

YOU FUCKERS FUCKING OWE ME BIG TIME! LIKE YOUR SOULS!!!!!

Who ever said that this show is good is either a 10 year old asian girl or gay. Very VERY gay.

The music sucked.
The plot sucked.
The actors....where kinda hot and since they are asian, probably suck and swallow.
A porno had better special effects then this piece of shit! In fact at first I thought I was watching a porno.

Plot (which sucks): Some random chick finds a random stuffed cat that fell from the sky. Apparently it's not stuffed cause it can talk and shit and tells the girl she must save the world. Either that or Get some Flea medicine. I can't decide which would be better.

Some random pretty boy using the power of his white shiny teeth turns some chick into a monster who uses the power of Colgate to steal other people's shiny clean teeth. (The show claimed it was dark kingdom power and they were taking human souls but I know the truth!)

insert some random unneeded long transformation scene where for some retarded reason the monster doesn't attack and a cheesy fight. Recycle for about 49 eps and that's basically it.

FUCK YOU ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE ARE MY LESBIANS!!!!!!!!!!! SAILOR MOON HAD HOT LESBIANS SO WHERE ARE THEY IN THIS DUCHE-FAG MOCKARY?!?! (Note: I can't remember if this show actually had them or not cause I was too busy being PISSED OFF!!!!!!)

Trust me, stick to Kamen Rider. In That, the transformations are quick, the monsters attack while the heros try to transform (in decade they show that while the armor is appearing, all the monsters long range attacks get deflected.) and they are badass with really cool plots (from 2007 and up)

This crap was soooooooo bad, I had to watch pokemon to feel better. POKEMON!!!! And not the Japanese one with the cursing and the hot smexy summer swimsuit ep. No, the AMERICAN version with all the friendship speeches and the always believe in yourself bullshit.

Skip this piece of dog shit. Better yet, Buy it and burn it during a ritual to summon dark satanic forces. (It will most likely work better with it since it was made by SATAN!)

Oh and one more thing:
FUCK INUYASHA!

That is all.

Sailor Fuck

Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari) is a freeware game for the computer. Made by Studio Pixel, which is a one man team, in 2004. It is considered to be one of the biggest and best free game on the net.

You play as Quote, a young boy who wakes up in a mysterious cave with no memories. Discovering a evil plot to enslave everyone on the island, Quote goes off to fight against countless hordes of enemies. Along the way he meets Curly Brace a female soldier who befriends him.

The game play is the basic sidescrolling gun shooting style. It's also EXTREMELY FUCKING HARD!!! With 3 different endings and tons of secrets, it has high replay value.

Now here's the thing about the music: The guy who made the game has no musical experience! basically he just took random notes and put them together and listened. If he liked it then it went into the game. You would thing that the music would suck then right? WRONG!!!

This game has some of the most catchy tunes you will ever listen! the theme (Cave Story) is my favorite out of the whole soundtrack.

now the cons:

. It's REALLY FUCKING HARD! At some points it's I WANT TO BE THE GUY hard.
. Can't skip the cut scenes which sucks when you die and have to start the scene over which happens allot!
. More Plot! There's not really allot of plot. We don't know how you get there or what happened to make you loose your memories. Well, that is unless you are good enough to get the Best ending. then it's better explained but it's really fucking hard to do and it still leaves things unexplained.

That's basically all I had to complain about.

Doukutsu Monogatari (Cave Story): Check it out, play it: Download here. (has link to English Patch)

And now: Another Mote I made! (the first can be found in my previous news post.)
